Booking
How far in advance should I book?
For a Saturday between October and March, four to six weeks. Weddings and big milestone parties should book three months out, because lighting and photo booths are the first things to go. Outside peak season, a week or two is usually plenty, and it never hurts to ask about a last-minute date.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes. Changes are free where we can accommodate them, talk to us as early as you can. Cancellation terms are set out in your hire agreement before you confirm, so there are no surprises.
Do I pay a deposit?
Larger bookings may need a deposit to hold the date. If one applies it is on your written quote before you commit, never added later.
Can I add items after booking?
Usually yes, subject to availability. Adding to an existing booking costs less than a separate hire because it is the same delivery run.
Do you do last-minute bookings?
Often. Call rather than emailing if your event is within 48 hours, we will tell you straight away what is available.

Delivery & setup
Where do you deliver?
Up to 50km from our Kyneton depot, the whole Macedon Ranges shire, plus Castlemaine, Daylesford and Kilmore on the edges. Free delivery within 15km. Other locations have published town rates; use the delivery checker for your town. We confirm the final fee for your exact address in your quote.
Is setup included?
Yes, on every item. We deliver, rig it, test it, show you how to run it, then come back and pack it down. It is not an optional extra.
Can I pick up instead of having it delivered?
We do not offer pickup. Our pricing includes setup because that is where most of the value is, and equipment that is set up correctly is equipment that does not fail mid-event.
What time do you deliver?
We agree a window with you and confirm it the week of your event. For weddings and larger setups we will usually come well ahead of time, sometimes the day before.
When do you collect?
Usually the following morning, which is included. You do not have to pack anything down at midnight.
What if my venue is hard to access?
Tell us when you book. Long driveways, sloping ground, stairs and gates are all normal here, we just need to know so we bring the right vehicle and enough time.
03
Equipment
Do I need power?
Not for sound, our speaker package runs on a 40-hour battery. Lighting, photo booths, slushie machines and effects do need power, but far less than people expect. Tell us what is available at the venue and we will work around it.
Will the sound be loud enough?
The speaker reaches 126dB, which comfortably covers a backyard, a hall or an open paddock. For very large outdoor events or a serious dancefloor, we would add the subwoofer.
What if it rains?
Our speakers are IP65 weather-rated and handle rain. Lighting and photo booths need cover. We will talk through a wet-weather plan when you book, in the ranges it is a question of when, not if.
What if something stops working during my event?
Call us. We are reachable across the whole hire period and we keep spares of the things that matter. Every item is checked between hires specifically so this does not happen.
Can I connect my phone?
Yes, Bluetooth, or a cable we provide. Several people can take turns pairing throughout the night.

Pricing
Are your prices really all published?
Published hire prices include GST and setup. Delivery depends on your location and is confirmed in your full quote. Furniture, tableware and custom styling are quoted for your event and guest numbers.
What is the Price Beat Guarantee?
If you find a genuine like-for-like written quote cheaper, we beat it by 5%, not match it. Full conditions are published on our Price Beat Guarantee page.
Do prices include GST?
Yes. What you see is what you pay.
Is it cheaper to book several items together?
Some packages cost less than equivalent separate hire. Each package lists its inclusions and shows a saving only when one applies. Compare the options on our pricing page or ask us to put together a quote.
Do you have rates for community groups?
Talk to us. For school, sporting and not-for-profit community events we will do what we can.

About us
Are you a local business?
Yes. We are based in Kyneton and every delivery is done by us, not a franchise, not a subcontractor from Melbourne.
Why did you change your name?
We were Kyneton Party Hire, and we outgrew it. We deliver across the whole shire and beyond, so the name should say so. Same team, same equipment, same phone number.
Are you insured?
Yes, we carry public liability insurance. Venues and councils often want a certificate of currency, ask and we will send it through.
Can you recommend other local suppliers?
Happily. We work alongside caterers, photographers and celebrants across the ranges every weekend, tell us what you still need and we will point you at someone good.
No silly questions here
Still a little stuck?
Tell us about your event. We can help you work out what you need.
