Find it cheaper and we’ll beat it by 5%

Not match it — beat it. Send us a genuine written quote for the same gear on the same dates and we will come back under it. Every condition is on this page, in plain English, because a guarantee with hidden terms is not a guarantee.

How it works

    Send us the quote

    A written quote from another hire business — email, PDF or a clear photo. Dated within the last seven days.

  2. Step 2

    We check it matches

    Same or equivalent items, same dates, same delivery address, and both quotes all-in including delivery, setup and GST.

  3. Step 3

    We beat it by 5%

    Not match — beat. You get 5% below their price, usually back to you within one business day.

Published in full so you know before you claim, not after.

We’ll beat it when

  • The quote is in writing, dated within the last 7 days, and we can verify it.
  • It is like-for-like: the same or genuinely equivalent items, for the same dates, to the same delivery address.
  • The competing business services your area and has the items available on your dates.
  • The quote is all-inclusive — delivery, setup and GST — so we are comparing the same thing.
  • You claim before your booking with us is confirmed.

We can’t beat

  • Clearance, liquidation and closing-down pricing
  • Obvious pricing errors or typographical mistakes
  • Member-only, staff, trade or account-holder rates
  • Second-hand, auction or ex-demonstration items
  • Quotes that exclude delivery, setup or GST

This guarantee is offered by Macedon Ranges Party Hire and applies to hire bookings within our 50km service area. It does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If we cannot beat a quote, we will tell you which condition was not met and why.

Do you match the price or beat it?
We beat it. If a genuine like-for-like quote comes in at $500, you pay $475 — 5% below, not the same.
What counts as "like-for-like"?
The same items, or genuinely equivalent ones, for the same dates and the same delivery address. A smaller speaker is not equivalent to a larger one, and a pickup-only quote is not equivalent to one with delivery and setup included. If we think the comparison is not fair we will explain exactly why rather than just declining.
Does the other quote have to include delivery?
It has to be an all-in figure — delivery, setup and GST — because ours is. Comparing our delivered price against someone else's pickup price is not a real comparison. If their quote excludes delivery, ask them to add it and send us the total.
Can I claim after I have already booked?
The claim needs to come in before your booking is confirmed. Once a date is locked in we have turned other work away for it, so the guarantee applies at the quoting stage.
What if the cheaper company is not in the Macedon Ranges?
They need to actually service your address and have the items available on your dates. A quote from a Melbourne company that will not travel to Romsey is not a quote you could have accepted.
What is excluded?
Clearance and liquidation pricing, obvious pricing errors, member or trade-only rates, and second-hand or ex-demonstration items. These are all listed on this page — we do not hide them.
